The Grand Hotel Cairns is a true local icon, rich in character and history. With its Crocodile-themed décor, vintage artefacts, and stories dating back to the early 1920s, the venue offers a uniquely Queensland experience. Had chicken snitz , pretty good, but being from interstate i wasn't sure how you get paid on the pokies, had to ask and I found the girls behind the bar were not friendly at all. Bye the sounds of them they are from other countries, but maybe put a smile on your faces, look a bit more happy, your working in the most beautiful country in the world, and Aussies are layed back, so maybe get on board. The only friendly person was the manager, it was no trouble for him to help me when I ask for it.

Today I went to the grand hotel to eat a steak, I really want to say thank you to the amazing chef Arjun today, it was one of the best steaks that I ever had!

I can say much how or great place this I went few a a couple beers and Alice in wonder land helped me as she said,Then later the same night they helped me looking after a young lady that had to much they went out there wats to help here the culture in the grand is something that should be bottles

Haven't visited the hotel but the croc bar near the road is a good place to hang out for a drink and have a nice + cheap meal.Unfortunately they forgot our rumpsteak but John came up to us and we got some free drinks for the waiting time & finally got our steak :)Cheers to you John!
